A cheap and easy way to hedge against the coming inflation

Image
If you cannot afford to buy and hold gold and silver then your attention should turn to the next most commonly used metal currency... copper. For a few years now I have been looking through my loose change for pennies and tuppences which date from before 1992 and 1998/1999. Why? Well the simple reason is that the copper value of a penny today is 1.5p the copper value of a two pence piece is 3p, with hyper-inflation still in its early stages the opportunity is there now for you to collect all these coins and you will barely notice. Think that this is just stupidity... well those silver $1 coins are now worth $34 and the $20 dollar gold coins are now worth $1,750. Our advantage is that whilst it is against the law for UK citizens to melt down UK pennies there is no such prohibition on melting down the coins of Jersey & Guernsey and the trade in these coins can continue unabated. Any British bronze coin from 1806 onwards is going to contain at least 95% copper and the ear...

Barclays boss: Banks should be allowed to fail by itnnews When paper money hyper inflates there is only gold  Few observers make the connection, but the current LIBOR scandal is a middle inning of two important events. The first is the demise of the Western banker leadership crew. The executives from the most powerful banks will be last to be deposed, all sharing an ethnic strain. The second is the open fracture of the Western financial system.  "Over the past few years, to be sure a great many people have grown tired of Jackass descriptions of corruption within the banking sector and financial system in general. Well, hear this: TOLD YA SO! The London Interbank Offered Rate scandal will erupt into an uncontrollable firestorm, hitting one chamber and then the next, with rapid contagion. The Bank of England and the US Federal Reserve are both implicated, but they will skate until the end game. They control the prosecutors and the news networks. Few yet connect the...

Germany has the second largest gold reserve in the world, but they could become a whole lot bigger if Italy, Spain, Portugal or France default on new loans  “If you put the government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.” ― Milton Friedman The breaking news over night was that a new agreement had been reached between Germany and the rest of the European Union. Germany has apparently shifted position and will no longer demand austerity in return for keeping the other nations afloat. Angela Merkel did not take part in the press conference. There is clearly something we are not being told and I suspect that once the details emerge we will see that these loans (which will be made directly to banks and not to countries) are secured on whatever assets it is worth stripping from these countries - gold, natural resources, the share capital of the banks themselves. As we have been reporting for some time this is the end game for Germany...

75% increase in finance industry profits, that is suspicious

Banks have run off the cliff, but have not yet looked down  In his latest musing the Gold Jackass, Jim Willie, continues the theme that has dominated his economic analysis for years now but the end is finally upon us, the events which he and many others have been accurately predicting are all coming to pass and we cruise towards the end of Welfarism. "Many are the events, signals, and telltale clues of a real live actual systemic failure in progress. Until the last several months, such banter was dismissed by the soldiers in the financial arena. But lately, they cannot dismiss the onslaught of evidence, a veritable plethora of ugly symptoms of conditions gone terribly wrong and solutions at best gone awry and at worst never intended in the first place.   My theory has been steady from the TARP Fund scandal and the Too Big To Fail mantra of deceit. The plan all along since the breakdown began in September 2008 has been to preserve power, to maintain intact the ins...

Ask Not What Germany Can Do For You, Ask How Many Government Workers You Can Fire

Image from Spiegel based on calculations with ING bank  Well the Euro crisis has ramped up again and set the touch paper to the price of gold and silver, the Spanish have indicated that they will require a further 547 billion Euros between now and 2015 to recapitalise their banks. Cyprus has also sought aid from the European Union and the Greek Finance Minister has resigned just days after being appointed. In fact it has been a rather interesting EU summit. Merkel's unequivocal comment on her nation's unwillingness to 'share' burdens and slap the proverbial cheek of Monsieur Hollande, Italy's banking union looking for more 'aid', Spain actually asking for their bailout, Greece 'avoiding' reality, and Cyprus pulling the 'China rescue plan' last ditch retort to market angst; ZeroHedge.com I have been reporting the impeccable analysis from the Gold Jackass, that Germany is planning on leaving the Euro to the socialist nations of the Sou...

It's time to re-examine the Robin Hood story, he did not take from the Rich and give to the Poor, he took BACK what had been previously been stolen from the people by the Corrupt. Such is human nature that no one likes to see themselves as 'evil' and the lengths that some will go to in order to permit such self-delusion to continue is astonishing. One of Russia Today's premier shows, the Keiser Report, (all 294 episodes to date are available on you tube) speaks to a British investment advisor on the future for the British Economy and her campaign to re-purchase Britain's lost gold. The first part of the show is dedicated to examining one such delusion, the delusion that there is no fraud in the large financial firms that there is only 'egregious errors', 'a need for reform'. Just like in Robin Hood's time, these bankers, politicians and regulators are not the Rich they are the Corrupt.

France then Germany will leave the Euro

The so-called Global Financial Crisis is a term so widely used that it has earned its own acronym of GFC . When first seen, it seemed like girl friend club or some such, since many friends use GF loosely to refer to sweethearts. The GFC is falsely named, since it is more accurately described as a global monetary war with the USGovt vigorously defending its franchise in the USDollar for crude oil and trade settlement, and for bank reserves management. Take either away, and the other departs quickly, leaving the United States vulnerable to a quick ticket to the Third World marred by price inflation and supply shortage, even isolation in ring fences. On its own devices, the US is in as bad shape as the worst of the PIIGS nations. The USGovt debt is above 100% of GDP finally. The annual deficit of $1.5 trillion could not be financed in normal methods. So the USFed is the adopted buyer of last resort, purchasing over 80% of new and recycled US debt issuance. The Interest Rate ...

Vietnam places gold under state control

Image
The State Bank of Vietnam is instituting a de facto nationalisation of Vietnam’s gold market, in an effort to restore confidence in the country’s currency – the dong. Vietnam is suffering from a growing current account deficit and record-high inflation. The government's new measures will have unpleasant side effects, as more than 2,000 Vietnamese gold traders might have to close their businesses. However, private citizens will retain the right to buy gold. From May 25 the State Bank of Vietnam will in effect be the sole controller of gold trading in the country. Rules passed last year pushed many small gold traders out of business, and these new gold rules means that after the May 25 deadline, only companies with minimum capital of 10 billion Vietnamese dong, yearly tax payments of 500 million Vietnamese dong and with branches in a minimum of three provinces will be allowed to trade gold and import gold bars. Currently, the only company able to comply with these requirements i...

At the Golden Eye of the Hurricane

What an incredibly complex confusing and treacherous month. It can be safely said that 80% of the activity is almost totally kept from the public. The financial system is breaking in an accelerated fashion. Compare to some grisly horror movie where a man is strapped in a chair. The more he moves, the tighter the bindings pull on his gasping throat and pressed nether stones. The most significant two factors at work are the Iran sanctions and their powerful backfire, and the futile efforts in Europe to stem the banking center collapse. The anti-USDollar federation that spans widely across the globe is gathering strong momentum. Financial aggression is being met by financial alternative development. As Greece moved off the daily news fabrication factory, the reality of a collapse in Spain and Italy has moved to the front center of observations.  Meanwhile, the American nitwits continue to argue over Quantitative Easing when it never stopped, and in fact, went global under t...
